Problem

tbg Events is a Black woman-owned, MBE-certified event production firm with a 25-year track record producing for Fortune 100 clients: Disney, Wells Fargo, Honda, Milken Institute, the LA Dodgers, the City of Los Angeles. They've produced events featuring Vice Presidents, Grammy winners, and Olympic committees.

Their website made none of that visible. Generic stock imagery, a clip-art contact page, a four-step process explained with Canva icons, a portfolio reduced to a 3x3 grid, and CEO testimonials set in plain text on a white page. The brand was communicating "home-based wedding planner" while the business was operating at Fortune 100 scale.

We reached out to tbg Events. We saw the gap between who they were and how they were showing up online, and we knew we could help. That's where it started.

Insight

  • A complete brand repositioning, including the new tagline "Where Vision Becomes Experience"
  • Visual system redesign: video-first hero, editorial imagery, typography with intention
  • Credibility stacking: 500+ Events, 250K+ Guests, 200+ Clients. Named logos for Milken, Disney, Wells Fargo, Honda elevated into the hero
  • Case studies that actually tell stories, not a portfolio grid
  • Surfacing the Women-Owned, Minority-Owned, MBE-certified credentials that unlock corporate procurement

On the technical side, my ScalogicAI partner Kojo led the full backend build:

  • Complete site infrastructure, from architecture to deployment
  • Full technical build delivered in under seven days
  • Platform migration off WordPress onto a modern, maintainable stack, a transition that saved the client approximately 50% in ongoing maintenance and management costs
